"I highly recommend this place , beautiful views such as the lake , dog friendly, the staff are amazing and very friendly and helpful, you can get a bus to the town , there is tescos near there just. 5 to 10 walk. The lodge is cosy nice and warm and very nice and quiet , the lodge is clean and very nice , loved the layout , had a lovely clean hot tub which was warm and they checked it regularly. Would definitely visit it again ❤️"

"We had a fantastic 3 night stay for our anniversary. The Lodge was light, airy, clean and well equipped. The hot tub was so relaxing and the bottle of bubbles which was left for us was a lovely treat. There's a bus stop nearby so we caught the bus to York on one of the days. We would highly recommend York Lakeside Lodges for a relaxing break and definitely one with a hot tub."

"Payed 600 to stay for 2 nights purposely to fish for the weekend, couldn't even cast a line out because of the next cabin casting over my lines because of how the pegs are set out, got ten minutes of fishing out of the full 2 days and the lake is full of weed, the cabin was dirty and dusty, the bed was ready for collapsing the poles on the bed fell down and hit my partner on the head! Bedding smelt like it hadn't been washed in weeks, the hot tub was in plain view of the next cabin no privacy what so ever, the jet caps cut my back because they were missing and broken, windows were filthy the lodge has a full kitchen with no cooking equipment or utensils, the noise from the hot tub and trains kept us up all night, will never stay here again complete waste of money! Do not recommend very dated and in need of a refurb!"

"Stayed in lodge 7 for 2 nights, fantastic view of the lake, ducks always stopping by(if you love your animals like we do this is perfect). Met swiftly on arrival by staff who welcomed us and explained the hot tub which was perfect temp and quality. Yes, trains do pass by throughout the night however I got used to the sounds quickly. The lodge had all the basics with all working amenities, perfect size for a couple nights however a family might struggle with a week."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at York Lakeside Lodges. The lodge was well equipped, clean and tidy. Only thing I’d change is to put a handrail by the steps to the deck for Lodge 11 – although this wouldn’t stop me coming again! Having a dedicated fishing swim makes life easier. The fishing wasn’t the easiest but still good. Caught a few fish and saw signs of others. The park and ride is just a short distance away and we would definitely recommend using it if you want to go into York City Centre! Lots to do in the city so a few trips in would be in order. Staff were amazing – Neil seemed to be everywhere! Overall, we had a peaceful and relaxing week. We’ll book again!"

"Want a lovely relaxing break then this site is highly recommended, fantastic lakeside setting, watch the squirrels, and wildlife go by. Lovely to walk round the lake to a carpet of snowdrops. Very quiet site, well maintained and spotlessly clean. Easy access to York by bus from the park and ride site opposite or take a steady walk down by the river into York."
