"Had a good stay on Friday night, welcomed by Duncan who went above and beyond, setting me up to avoid getting stuck in the mud. Puppy loved the enclosed dog field and we had a good little adventure through the public footpath (direct access throught the site!). Looking forward to a longer stay in warmer weather."

"Fabulous campsite - water, electric hook up & really good wifi too! I popped over for one evening to chill with my 2 labradors and chill we did it was so peaceful. Great dog exercise paddock and lovely walk up to the common. Highly recommend!"

"We stayed at the Turbles the last weekend in May 2023 and loved the place. We were in The Swallows Nest, one of the small chalets. It was spotlessly clean and provided essentials such as washing up liquid which are often not provided in self-catering venues. All the household products were environmentally friendly. It was peaceful and beautiful, with a lovely outdoor eating area. Plus the most comfy bed I’ve slept in for a long time! We hope to go back for another visit and highly recommend the place."

"Recommended to us from a family member, reasonably priced and fully serviced pitches. It was great that we had our own tap right next to our van. As far as we could tell the shower/toilets were not cleaned at all on any of the three days we stayed. Amenities were very disappointing. Two toilets and one shower. One broken toilet seat, a leak from under the shower base. No where dry/clean to step out of the shower. The washing up facilities are one 'large' ish sink in the same area to wash your hands after going to the toilet, no work surface area to place/dry things. Offering two towels to dry your hands, not changed while we were there. The dog field was very useful, our dogs loved it. The public footpaths in the immediate area appeared to be not very dog friendly with fences having been put up across some, stiles without dog gates and some owners having dumped unsafe rubbish across paths. The nearest pub, Plume and Feathers, was not dog friendly. They do not allow dogs inside during food service and do not have a sheltered outside area to eat. If you are in a caravan/motorhome with your own shower/toilet then I imagine the site is great. Pitches were a considerable size with your own picnic bench, nice and quiet site."
