"Our daughter Hannah had a great 4th birthday here. We would like to personally thank the manager for leaving our little girl a birthday card and some treats!! That was very kind and appreciated. Lovely room and view, the hotel is beautiful. Before we had our daughter myself and partner use to come here even when it was the castle we stayed in and always had a lovely time, the location is stunning and beautiful scenery. We were just sad that the soft play and arcade all closed at 6pm as we had no clue that was the case during the week. Food was ok, the dinner was fine, friendly staff. However breakfast sadly was not very good because the scrambled eggs were not cooked and very soggy and wet and the sausages were hard and burnt at the corners. Maybe hire some new chefs to go with the perfect hotel 😊😂 however again 5 stars for the hotel, location and manager."
"We went to the restaurant for breakfast. You get a good choice of breakfasts including vegetarian and vegan. I had the full Scottish. It was freshly cooked and came out piping hot and delicious. Excellent service - very helpful staff. Amazing views overlooking Lochgoilhead."
"The holiday park is in a beautiful setting right on The Loch and there are plenty of lovely walks and activities to enjoy and around the area. The central part of the park is modern and welcoming. The restaurant is well priced and good quality. There are a number of bars and a large ‘entertainment room’ for kids and families. The centre also has a large pool and gym as well as a spa. The pool was always rather full as the weather during our stay was poor. Not uncommon for this part of the world so keep that in mind. The ‘wee shop’ is well stocked and has all the bits you need to top up. Bring cash though as the card machine is temperamental. So why not 5 star? Firstly the service was hit and miss. Some very friendly and attentive staff whilst others were curt and abrupt, particularly if a concern was being raised. We also had a mess up with a booking in the restaurant, whilst resolved no acceptance of the issue or apology was forthcoming. Also before we came it was difficult to get the detail of what would be in the cabin, hairdryer / dishwasher etc. it’s not listed on the website but it’s useful to know so you don’t over pack. It took 3 phone calls and 2 emails to get this info! Secondly the accommodation, Scandinavian 2 bed cabin with hot tub (eagle 21), was a little run down. Some of the cupboard doors in the kitchen were coming off their hinges and the fitted bedroom furniture in the master bedroom started to fall to bits. The bedside tables that were attached to the headboard had a -10 degree slant. This meant your cup of tea would say but with a precarious lean that made one uneasy. The bathrooms whilst large were very basic and more like that of a static caravan than a cabin. The drainage needs looking into as well as the showers drain very slowly leading to a build up of scum on the shower tray. On arrival we had to remove a false eyelash from the hot tub and a vape and some other rubbish from the decking. I would probably give a 3.5 star and with a little effort and perhaps at the start of the season it might even be a 4."
"Stayed here a year ago when it was under different management and I must say the place is not looking quite as clean and tidy as it did then. Don't get me wrong it's an amazing place to come but the caravan we stayed in last year was absolutely pristine whereas this year the lodge we are in was still little bit grubby in places when we arrived, with quite a bit of dirt on the floors, hair in the bath and rubbish outside and the surrounding areas weren't great with several bin lids in the river and even a garden chair that was there for the duration of our stay plus quite a bit of litter on the verges and amongst the trees. All the cosmetic issues aside the place is great and the staff are lovely. The kids loved the arcade and soft play and my older 2 enjoyed quite a few of the staff lead activities that you can easily book online or reception. The takeaway was great with some of the best fish I've ever had!!"
"Beautiful place to stay for both Adults and children. We visited as a family (4 adults, 1 child). We stayed in a lodger, it was lovely with good parking for two cars. The location was lovely with lovely views from the windows. Plenty of space between accommodations. You can really tell this park has put people's experience at the top of the list. Lovely walks. Shop on site (which you need as you are not close to any supermarket). The main building is lovely with great facilities. The swimming pool was lovely and my daughter enjoyed it. We visited during our school holidays (not Scotland school holidays) the pool was quiet. Food at the restaurant was lovely. The staff are amazing, very friendly and helpful. Beautiful place to visit, I highly recommend."
