"Wonderful 3 nights in a caravan. Spotlessly clean, warm, well equipped. Ideal location a few minutes walk from the sandy beach, lovely scenic walk along the cliff to Bigbury beach and Burgh Island. Fish and chip shop right by the beach. Perfect. Brought my dog and it was all dog friendly . Perfect holiday"
"We have just returned from a fabulous autumn weekend break at Challaborough. Our caravan was left spotlessly clean throughout by Lacey - thank you! We were welcomed to the pool by Adam, Dan and Callie, overseeing the area efficiently, which was having the painting refreshed. Laura and the entertainments team (Mason, Jenna and Georgia) supported the young people in putting on a fabulous talent show on the Saturday night. Putting them at ease, whilst encouraging them to perform to their best and helping them feel like superstars, culminating in a fun, inclusive and exciting finale. Despite being late in the season, the facilities were all open as and up to their usual high standard. The bar was fully stocked with a good range of drinks and snacks served by friendly staff (Harry and Travis) and the fish and chips were fresh and perfectly cooked. The weather was gorgeous too. Thank you Challaborough and see you next summer!"
"This review relates to the beach car park only, which does not have a separate entry on Google. We spent 13 minutes here trying to pay for parking. We did not have cash, there was not enough internet coverage to download the app (it was not Ringo or just park), and the card facility on the machine was not working. We eventually gave up and left. We then received a parking fine, which we appealed based on the above... the appeal was rejected. Absolutely appalling."
"Challeborough Bay has the best location if you are a beach loving family and the entertainment is brilliant - special mention to Jenna and Mason who both really kept the energy high and made the nights in the venue a must (especially if you are a Taylor Swift fan!). The caravan was extremely dirty when we arrived however, and we had to clean it ourselves before we were comfortable to use it. There were old used plasters left on the furniture, and sweet wrappers down the sides of the sofa. There was also dog mess outside the caravan door that it took 4 complaints and 3 days to have cleaned up. A wonderful location but the care and service needs to be better for the process being charged to stay."
"Challaborough is an amazing place to go to with kids or just wanting a break away. In my experience everything was outstanding and will be back every year. The caravan was enough for me my partner and my little boy, all though there were things broken around the caravan it didn’t ruin the experience as we were out and about majority of the time. The entertainment isn’t too bad, we all enjoyed the arcades, the swimming pool was great and the beach is stunning, the water is a perfect temperature. The waterfront restaurant was great as well they bring your drinks a few minutes before bringing out your food which I noticed instead of bringing drinks straight away which I found great as that normally doesn’t happen in Scotland. I gave 5* as it really is an outstanding place."
"A great location right by the beach. The restaurant had lots of choice of meals, especially important for us was the choice of childrens meals. The entertainment was good and the swimming pool, soft play and playground kept our 3 1/2 year old entertained. Overall, a great holiday was had by us all - I would definitely go again."
