Reviews
"Very clean well presented caravan. Good welcome pack containing all kitchen essentials eg washing liquid tea towel, bin bags etc. We are in an accessible caravan which has ramp access with car space next to it. A wet room with lots of room and grab handles for safety. Wide corridors and all rooms have wide sliding doors. All in all a lovely van. Well worth the money."
"A gem! Small site with excellent facilities, heated floor Immaculate showers and a sister site with pool and entertainment. Staff are very welcoming. Would definitely stay again."
"Had an absolutely amazing time here! We stayed in one of the caravans which was beautiful and clean. The staff are just the best, so friendly and lovely to the kids. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, will definitely be back."
"We had a lovely 2 week stay here- catching up with family locally, we’ve been out of the country for several years. The facilities were good, loved the showers! The hot tub was very well maintained and the lodge was clean and tidy, we ate onsite a couple of times and the food and service were great. Every member of staff I spoke to was friendly and helpful, very much enjoyed our stay!"
"First impression was of a dirty pod, with items left by previous holiday goers under the bed, as well as food, crumbs and sand everywhere. When I spilt something on the floor and wiped it, the wipe was black with dirt. I will say the beds were comfortable but in the heat the pods get very warm overnight but we had brought fans with us which helped. The walk to the toilet was a bit of a pain in the middle of the night and if I did return I would definitely get a pod plus. The showers and toilets were quite rough around the edges, sometimes without toilet roll, grime round the drains in the showers, one with a broken lock and a lot of lime scale on the appliances. It seems like everything needs a deep clean. The showers did have good pressure and were warm. We preferred to use the family room which we thought was a great idea as it had a bath and shower. We didn't eat on site as the prices were silly, a couple of nights we had drinks at the bar but again it was expensive. There didn't really seem to be a staff presence on site (only at the restaurant and reception) which I've never experienced at other holiday places as there always has been someone walking the site, driving round and checking. On one of our last nights a group of young people decided to party till gone 10.30pm, ending their night with a lot of fireworks. I was shocked this was allowed as it seems to push itself as a family site. Both my children are noise sensitive so this was not welcomed! The big bonus of staying here was the pass for Ladram Bay and having access to the facilities, beach, pool etc. That site there was beautiful and we had a couple of really nice visits there."
"Castle Brake Holiday Park is in a fabulous setting, the accommodation was of a high standard and spotlessly clean. This was our first time in a caravan with children and they thoroughly enjoyed it, plus there was plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. Would love to go back and would not hesitate to recommend Castle Brake to others."
