Reviews
"Not the worst experience I've ever had, but could definitely be improved. Lighting around the site is really poor. Prices in the bar and in the takeaways are a rip off. Tables and chairs are packed in far too tightly in the showbar. That said, there's a lot to do and staff are very pleasant. It's also a good base to explore from."
"This is our second time visiting since having our son and already planning our next visit for next year once our next child is born for our first holiday as a family of 4 ! Caravans spacious, clean and total home comfort (especially important for me this visit as I was pregnant for this visit). Entertainment was fun for our autistic little boy to join in having a great time dancing! Food was delicious and brilliant service !"
"We arrived in middle of September after six hour journey we were hungry. We went into the boathouse restaurant but unfortunately they stopped serving food at 8:30 so we ended up having a Papa John’s across the road which actually was very nice. We had a gold caravan with a parking space outside, which was handy. When we went into the caravan, we found that the pots and pans are all dirty so luckily we had our own as we brought our camper van with us. Caravan was actually quite comfortable with a comfy bed and two extra bedrooms which we used for our closing. We haven’t gone to the club yet, but it looks very big and very noisy. I will be having a look later. All in all a decent place for families and couples alike."
"Cheap and cheerful. Swimming pool is warm which is good with little kids. Parks, mini golf and climbing were big hits too. Staff are friendly. Some of the other guests caused trouble and the restaurant has limited options in and one night we couldn't get a table for dinner"
"Had a week in Blackpool last week in August, Caravan was adequate, we arrived early, van wasn't ready but that was OK. Happy to sit and have a drink. When we got to the van, no phone signal or even 4G. I agree with a previous comment. I paid the extra £200 for me and my daughter for the use of pool etc. Thinking if it rained we could spend a few hours each day in the pool. Not only were we limited to a 1 hr session each per day, it was fully booked bar 1 session we managed.... £200 for 2 of us to swim in a plain pool for 1 hour was the most expensive swim session ever. Was too cold to go outside with the windy conditions. Never imagined I'd have to pre book the pool weeks before arriving! Very dirty communal areas. No lighting in the walkway between the caravans and the communal area. Very loud site well into the early hours. At any camp site it's common to cut noise at about 11pm. People shouting walking past the caravan at 1.30am is not cool. Rip off in the highest degree."
